Easy to integrate AUDIO codec IP for mobile applications

Chipidea Audio Codec IP has a unique blend of audio features, audio performance and risk-free integration for System-on-Chip (SoC) devices and Multi-chip-Modules (McMs) targeting mobile audio, communications and multimedia systems. Available in TSMC, UMC and CSM, down to 65nm LOGIC technologies in over 15 different foundries.

Two unique offerings:

(1) High-end full-featured Audio Codec IP offers both high-fidelity and features including digital sound effects, jack detection and audio PLL, enabling the integration of audio functions on McMs and SoCs, previously only available from standalone ICs;

(2) Optimized cost-performance Audio Codec IP enables high-fidelity audio quality with multiple analog interface capabilities - microphone, line-in/out, headphone and loudspeaker, compact area around 2.9mm2 and low power consumption of 12mW for 96db DR in playback at 48 kHz - helping SoC designers keep die sizes small and manufacturing costs low.

AFEs for Broadband Communications-Silicon Proven Technology

Our wide offer of Analog Front Ends (AFE) for Broadband Communications, uses Chipidea's cutting edge high performance / low power pipeline ADC and DAC technology. Chipidea has been designing complete application specific AFEs since 2003. The most recent solutions are designed in a platform that enables low-risk porting across processes.

Chipidea's Silicon Proven Broadband communications technology supports, compact area and low power dissipation, multiple communication standards (802.11x, 802.16e) and multi-Antenna applications (MIMO). Flexible operation modes for power savings in battery-powered systems are available. The complete AFE is ready for easy Customer integration in SoC.
