Square Brief Description
This Video Analog Front End offers two 10-bit, 27MHz channels for digitizing the analog input video of a standard Video (CVBS) using PAL, SECAM or NTSC formats. The channels can handle:
       • Composite Video
       • S-Video, or
       • Component Video

The CI7156xa (TSMC) is in production in a customer SOC. The CI7713kg (SMIC) is now in Silicon.

Each channel includes a Video Clamping circuit, a combined Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) and Sample-and-Hold (S/H), and a 10-bit A/D converter. To handle component Video, YCrCb or YPrPb, a multiplexer accepts the two chroma signals that share the same ADC.
