  CHIPIDEA achieves certification of three USB IP cores (CI12323ul, CI12295ug, CI12323kg)
Square Silicon Results
The Silicon test results show an excellent performance as demonstrated in the eye diagram below from the CI12323kg certification report. All three IP cores have highly competitive area and current consumption performance:

• CI12323ul: area (0.9mm2), HS Tx current (45mA)
• CI12323kg: area (1.0mm2), HS Tx current of 50mA
• CI12295ug: area (1.3mm2 with LDO), HS Tx current (45mA)

CHIPIDEA has achieved High Speed certification of three USB 2.0 High Speed Phy cores. The CI12323ul (UMC 0.13um), CI12295ug (UMC 0.18um) and CI12323kg (SMIC 0.18um) form the current list of USB-IF certified cores from CHIPIDEA giving a kick-off to company’s USB certification program. Achieving USB-IF certification is an important step that gives customers extra assurance when integrating the USB Phy in a system or using it standalone. The certification activity using CHIPIDEA’s USB Phys will continue actively.

Main Features of CI12295ug, CI12323kg and CI12323ul
• Complete PHY for USB2.0 On-The-Go
• UTMI+ specification compliant
• Supports 480Mbps "High Speed" (HS), 12Mbps "Full Speed" (FS) and 1.5Mbps "Low Speed" (LS) serial data transmission
• USB2.0 Integration in HOST, DEVICE and Dual Role Device applications
• Supports OTG supplement features: VBUS state detecting and SRP request by "data-line pulsing" method
• Integrated Self-calibrated termination resistors
• 3.3 V supply for Analog Front End operation
• 1.8V (for 0.18um) or 1.2V (for 0.13um) supply for PLL operation*
• 1.8 V (for 0.18um) or 1.2V (for 0.13um) Digital supply operation

* Note: The CI12295ug has an internal LDO that converts the 3.3V analog supply to 1.8V analog supply for the PLL.
