Icon CAD/Technology Development Engineer

  Duties
  • Be the contact point with Foundries' Technology Engineering Teams, across design cycles and relevant technology nodes.
  • Access and process Foundry Technology packages containing Logic and Mixed Signal data used to setup CI internal Physical Design Kits, including, but not limited to: Physical Verification Decks, Analogue Device Libraries, Device modelling packages. Maintain in CI Intranet the process documentation for applicable foundries.
  • Develop Physical Design Kits tailored for CI-flow, based on the packages received from foundries, creating and running applicable QA test-benches, following strict rules for package organization both in file-systems and on CI intranet; Create and deploy Physical Design Kit documentation reflecting up-to-date PDK contents and usage instructions, FAQs, etc.
  • Assist Engineering teams with Technology Support Requests, providing work-around solutions for technology package problems encountered during design, either resulting from technology package mis-preparation, either from inappropriate use.

Bullet  Requirements
  • University degree in Electronic Engineering, Informatics, Physics or similar
  • Scripting (Perl, Python, etc) skills in a UNIX/Linux environment (np. Python, Perl, csh, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Strong "problem-solving" capabilities
  • Relationship Building and Teamwork

Bullet  Preferential Requirements:
  • System Level Mixed Signal Design Knowledge
  • Analog, Mixed Signal and EDA Tools
  • Process Fabrication, Modeling and Design Rules Knowledge for Semiconductors
  • Experience with Cadence design environment and Synopsys and Mentor Graphics tools such as HSpice, NanoSim, Calibre, etc
  • Experience with "back-end" verification tools for DRC, LVS and Extraction (DIVA, Assura, Calibre, Hercules, StarRCXT)
  • Experience in SKILL programming is strongly desirable
